Patrick Reilly, a 27 year old Democrat of Brookline and the 32nd ward has announced that he will seek the District 4 City Council seat. Having received a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004, he currently is serving as the Community Outreach Coordinator to the State Representative from the 22nd District.
Reilly has developed a strong understanding of the needs in this district through the various roles and experiences he has had in this community throughout his lifetime.
The main issues that he feels need to be addressed are economic development in our struggling business districts of Brookline, Beechview and Carrick; neighborhood crime issues need to be addressed by more police in our neighborhoods; and a higher emphasis on government cooperation to encourage savings in revenue spending.
From the idea that our strength lies in our communities, Reilly looks forward to discussing these concerns and others with the residents in A NEW BEGINNING for District 4 and the City of Pittsburgh.
Running a campaign is a significant challenge. It is difficult to get a message out to as many people as possible in a short time. This web site is a great way to quickly introduce Reilly and educate visitors on the key issues of his campaign.
